Project Overview
AMP Limited is a leading retail wealth management and banking business operating in Australia and New Zealand, supporting 1.5 million customers and employing more than 4,100 people.
AMP had for many decades operated their own in-house security operations centre at their Circular Quay offices. Staffed by a subcontract guard service, the 24/7 centre managed AMP’s five major office locations around Australia. With major building refurbishment works about to take place, AMP had a tight deadline to relocate their security operations centre to a new location, whilst maintaining its critical security operations.
After a series of discussions and planning workshops involving AMP and Chubb’s business development, engineering, IT, legal and operations teams, it was determined that the best option was to outsource AMP’s security operations to Chubb’s Grade A1 monitoring centre and Connected services team. Chubb’s newly formed security connected services team are a specialised technically trained support team that provide customers with direct access to support over the phone, with the ability to remotely access and program customers’ security systems via Chubb’s secure remote management cloud portal.
Services Provided
- 24/7 response to intrusion and duress alarms including remote video verification and video investigations
- Credential management for building entries and staff lockers for all AMP employees, contractors and visitors
- Programming and reporting services for AMP’s access control and video management systems
- Incident management and triage service to resolve and respond to security system faults and issues, including the dispatch of field technicians when required
- Routine remote and on-site maintenance inspections of the access control and digital video systems, including scheduled software maintenance and firmware updates
