One of the UK’s leading wholesale retailers, Bestway Wholesale, turned to Chubb to install, monitor, and maintain a range of security services in its stores and warehouses across the UK.  

Since 2009, the customer has trusted Chubb to provide security for its 65 warehouses, which range between 100,000–150,000 sq. ft, and 180 retail stores, which measure from 2,000 – 5,000 sq. ft.

Customer Needs 

Before 2009, Bestway Wholesale worked with various security suppliers to provide individual elements of security such as intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control.  

Since taking over the contract, Chubb has consolidated and streamlined the solution, managing the whole process for the customer and becoming a long-term trusted partner. 

Solution and Benefits 

The customer has a dedicated account manager who ensures services are up to date across all sites and manages the whole process – saving the customer time, money, and the hassle of having to deal with multiple security companies.  

All sites across the customer’s network are maintained by one expert engineer who can service all three security elements twice yearly. This is much more convenient for the customer as there are not multiple visits disrupting business operations. 

As well as reliable security to protect stock, property, and employees, the solutions installed by Chubb help Bestway Wholesale to lower insurance premiums. The seamless integration, ease of installation, and minimal disruption and downtime between takeovers is also highly beneficial to the customer.  

Chubb’s national coverage also provides added value to the customer as they know an engineer can be on-site in 4 hours or less to attend a callout. The monitored intruder systems in the warehouses and retail stores are fully integrated and connected to Chubb’s NSI-Gold accredited monitoring centre. This provides the customer with complete peace of mind that their assets are being monitored 24/7/365.  

In addition to the reliable security solutions, Chubb also created a bespoke monitoring solution, which is unique to the customer. It identifies the level of severity from minor incidents up to more critical alerts and notifies keyholders which level of action they need to take. That could be accessing the site remotely, attending in person, or requesting emergency services.
