Chubb, one of the UK’s leading fire safety and security solutions providers, together with CriticalArc were announced winners of the Security Project of the Year award at the prestigious Fire & Security Matters Awards ceremony at CBS Arena, Coventry on 15th June. CriticalArc is a leading technology innovator, designing and developing the distributed command and control solution, SafeZone™, which is revolutionising the way organisations manage safety and security operations.
The award recognises the innovation and improved staff safety outcomes delivered to Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust through the implementation of SafeZone – the cloud-based safety, security and emergency management solution, developed by CriticalArc – and supported by Chubb’s 24/7/365 remote monitoring Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). Developed with personal safety at its core, the SafeZone app was designed to provide better security and protection for lone and high-risk workers.
At the tap of a button, users can request ‘first aid’ if in need of medical assistance, ‘emergency’ if they feel threatened or in need of urgent assistance, and ‘help’ for general safety advice. When an alert is raised, the user’s location is shared with the operators at Chubb’s ARC, who can connect directly to emergency services to provide the most appropriate assistance – allowing for a faster response time and potentially saving lives. “With more people than ever now working from home or alone, protecting these individuals can be a challenge for employers,” said David Dunnagan, Managing Director at Chubb Fire & Security. “With CriticalArc we have developed a solution that offers employers peace of mind that their people are protected – regardless of where they might be, and it’s an honour to win this award for our collaboration with Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust.” “We couldn’t be more thrilled to pick up this award alongside our partner Chubb and our customer Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust.
As an organisation our mission is to transform the way organisations deliver safety and security; Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is one of the first Trusts in the country to deploy SafeZone and offer their entire workforce SafetyEverywhere demonstrating a tangible commitment to keeping their staff safe. Thank you to everyone who supported this important initiative and for the ongoing investment in making it a huge success”, said Darren Chalmers-Stevens, Group Chief Operating Officer at CriticalArc. Under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations, employers are obligated to manage the risks to lone workers. To find out how SafeZone can help, visit: www.chubb.co.uk/safezone
