Founded in 1963 with its first concession store in West London, Kurt Geiger has grown to over 70 stores across the UK & Ireland. Kurt Geiger first turned to Chubb to safeguard their retail assets, beginning with the security system installation at their first store. As Kurt Geiger expanded over the next 30+ years, Chubb continued to provide bespoke security system designs, installations, and ongoing maintenance and monitoring, and became a trusted partner. 

Solution and Benefits 

Chubb designed and implemented a security system that protects each store and the head office. 

  • Intruder alarms, which provide robust protection against unauthorised access.
  • Personal attack/Hold-up alarms to protect staff and ensure immediate response capabilities in the event of an emergency.
  • Remote monitoring of the security systems, utilising Chubb’s Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) to maintain constant vigilance over all sites.

One notable achievement is the management of a 100 Unique Reference Number (URN) status with the account, a complex feat in the retail sector. This status is crucial for ensuring priority response from law enforcement agencies to protect Kurt Geiger’s high-value stores. 

Technological Advancements 

Through the first half of 2024, Chubb initiated an upgrade project to transition Kurt Geiger from soon-to-be obsolete copper wire monitoring services to a full IP signalling platform. 

This digital switchover was completed seamlessly within 6 weeks, improving system performance, reliability, and providing Kurt Geiger with significant cost savings. The switch is projected to yield an annual ROI of £13,000, beginning two years post-implementation. Plus, this project future proofs their security systems prior to the 2027 switchover deadline.
