The Apprentice Programme Chubb will be recruiting apprentices across various locations within the UK in 2023. The roles will vary from field-based engineering roles to office-based roles. We aim to advertise the specific positions and provide more details in February/March 2023. You can register your interest before this time using the following link. What is the level of the apprenticeship? The levels for apprenticeships can vary based on role and location. The details will be outlined on the job application once live. What does the apprenticeship involve? All Chubb apprenticeships involve a mixture of college and employer-delivered training. College may be either virtual classroom or physical attendance, and more details will be outlined in the specific adverts. The employer-delivered training will take place in the workplace from experienced colleagues doing the job. How is progress monitored? Progress is continually monitored and includes regular feedback from college tutors/assessors to line managers, three-way reviews (employer/apprentice/college), and frequent feedback from line managers/ colleagues direct to the apprentice, depending on the role. What is the starting salary? We offer a competitive starting salary and generous annual increments depending on satisfactory performance and achievement. The salaries will be outlined on the job application. What will happen at the end of the apprenticeship? Once you have completed your apprenticeship, you will be considered for suitable, qualified permanent roles, depending on your chosen pathway.
What qualifications do I need? This depends on the apprenticeship you are applying for. Please review the specific job application in your location to confirm the exact requirements. Generally, for most of our apprenticeships in England, you will need 3 x GCSE at Grade 4 or above to include English and Maths (C or above for older GCSE). For Scotland, we look for the equivalent Standard Grades, and for Ireland, we ask for the Leaving Certificate. What if you don’t have your specified entry qualifications yet? We will accept school/college predicted grades; however, you would need to provide evidence of your grades once you receive your results. All offers are conditional on you achieving the required qualifications for the apprenticeship. Do I need a driving licence for a field-based role? For most of our field-based engineers, you are required to have a valid full driving licence by the end of your second year of the apprenticeship. Please see specific job applications for more details on role eligibility. I am a current Chubb employee – can I still apply? Yes. Remember, your salary and employment terms will change if you are successful. Rights to Work You must demonstrate that you have the legal Rights to Work in the UK and/or Ireland, depending on which country the apprenticeship is based. Are there any age restrictions? You will need to be at the age of a school leaver when you start your apprenticeship. For Scotland and Ireland, there may be some restrictions on apprenticeships for people of an older age.
