Excellence in Leadership – David Blezard
David Blezard is Director of Chubb Systems at Chubb Fire & Security, leading a specialist division delivering complex, high-security solutions to critical national infrastructure (CNI) clients across the UK. With 30 years of industry experience and responsibility for a 200-strong multidisciplinary team spanning sales, design, software development, project delivery and service operations, David operates at the forefront of the security sector. Known for his strategic clarity, technical expertise, and ability to lead at scale, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening Chubb Systems’ market position, driving growth, and embedding a culture of high performance and accountability.

David actively fosters a culture where leaders are empowered to take ownership, challenge thinking and collaborate across functions to solve complex customer challenges. Through his advocacy of Building Great Leaders – Chubb’s enduring purpose, David has embedded a leadership mindset across the organisation, encouraging individuals at all levels to lead themselves and support those around them.

Through his commitment to developing people, fostering collaboration, and advancing industry standards, he has created lasting impact both within his organisation and across the wider sector.

EDI Champion – Lesley Leach
With more than two decades of international HR leadership experience, Lesley Leach as People Director has focused on ensuring Chubb’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) programme is a lived organisational value, not just a policy commitment.

Lesley has also played a central role in embedding inclusive leadership across Chubb Fire & Security UK & Ireland through the implementation of the Building Great Leaders culture.
Recognising that culture change requires behavioural change, Lesley has positioned the framework as a mindset for everyone rather than simply a leadership training programme. It encourages colleagues at every level to lead themselves, support those around them and contribute to a respectful and inclusive workplace.

Lesley’s focus on wellbeing and psychological safety has also transformed how the organisation approaches mental health in the workplace. Through awareness initiatives, leadership engagement and access to support resources, conversations around mental health have become more open and accepted across the business.

These initiatives have created a workplace where people feel valued, supported, and empowered. Consequently, collaboration across teams has strengthened, engagement has improved and people feel more confident contributing to the organisation’s success.

Charity and/or Wellbeing Initiative – Protect People First Initiative
Chubb’s Protect People First wellbeing initiative supports the physical, mental, and financial wellbeing of its 2,000 employees across office, customer service, and field-based roles. The aim was to move to a more proactive, inclusive, and embedded approach that makes wellbeing part of everyday working life, regardless of role or location.

The programme centres on the mobile-enabled Wellness Hub, giving people one place to access mental health resources, fitness and nutrition guidance, financial wellbeing tools, and the Employee Assistance Programme. It is supported by a year-round calendar of initiatives such as People Matters sessions, guest speakers, wellbeing challenges, and competitions, as well as people leader training, a network of Mental Health First Aiders, and a peer-led Wellness Community. Together, these elements help normalise conversations around wellbeing, improve access to support and strengthen connection across the business and demonstrates how wellbeing can be embedded into culture, leadership, and day-to-day operations at scale.

Congratulations and good luck!
Congratulations to David Blezard, Lesley Leach, and the wider Chubb team for this recognition of their hard work and dedication to demonstrating our core value and purpose – to Protect People First and Building Great Leaders.

The winners of the British Security Awards 2026 will be announced on 12 June in London. Good luck to all of the nominees!
