Signature Series devices are the life safety industry’s first modular detectors. Signature Series detectors are intelligent devices that gather analog information from smoke and CO sensors (if present), converting this data into digital signals. To make an alarm decision, the detectors’ onboard microprocessors measure and analyze sensor readings and compare this information to historical data. Digital filters remove signal patterns that are not typical of fires, thus helping to eliminate unwanted alarms.
Intelligent Photoelectric Smoke Detector SIGA-PS
The Signature Series Model SIGA-PS Intelligent Photoelectric Smoke Detector gathers analog information from its smoke sensing element and converts it into digital signals. The detector’s on-board microprocessor measures and analyzes these signals. It compares the information to historical readings and time patterns to make an alarm decision. Digital filters remove signal patterns that are not typical of fires, thus helping to eliminate unwanted alarms.
Intelligent Heat Detectors SIGA-HFS & SIGA-HRS
Signature Series Model SIGA-HFS and SIGA-HRS Intelligent Heat Detectors gather analog information from their fixed temperature and/or rate-of-rise heat sensing elements and converts it into digital signals. The detector’s on-board microprocessor measures and analyzes these signals. It compares the information to historical readings and time patterns to make an alarm decision. Digital filters remove signal patterns that are not typical of fires, thus helping to eliminate unwanted alarms.
Intelligent Smoke Detector with Optional CO Sensor SIGA2-PS & SIGA2-PCOS

Manual Pull Stations SIGA-270, SIGA-270P, SIGA-278
The SIGA-270 and SIGA-278 series Manual Pull Stations are part of Edwards™ Signature Series system. The SIGA-270 Fire Alarm Manual Pull Stations feature our very familiar teardrop shape. They are made of die-cast zinc and are finished with red epoxy powdercoat paint complemented by aluminum colored stripes and markings. With positive pull-lever operation, one pull on the station handle breaks the glass rod and turns in a positive alarm, ensuring protection plus fool-proof operation. Presignal models (SIGA-270P) are equipped with a general alarm (GA) key switch for applications where two-stage operation is required. The up-front highly visible glass rod discourages tampering but is not required for proper operation.
Chubb takes the very best conventional fire alarm technology available today and blends it with features that benefit installers, contractors, building owners and occupants to provide an effective and economical solution for all small building needs.
Self-Diagnostic Smoke Detector
The 511C continually monitors its own sensitivity and operational status, and provides a visual indication if it drifts out of the sensitivity range or fails internal diagnostics. Additional diagnostic information is activated by applying a magnet near the detector’s integral reed switch. This initiates a self-diagnostic routine and provides visual indication of sensitivity level, or if service is required. The magnet test causes the LED to blink. The number of blink counts corresponds to a smoke detector sensitivity range. This meets NFPA 72 field sensitivity test requirements without the need for external meters.
Two- and Four-Wire Head & Terminal Base Smoke Detectors
700 Series conventional photoelectric smoke detectors are interchangeable head and base detectors with light-scattering optical sensors that provide outstanding stability and excellent response to a wide range of fires. 700 Series smoke detectors were the industry’s first conventional self-diagnostic detectors specifically designed for the demands of commercial and industrial environments. If the detector drifts out of its UL Listed sensitivity range or fails internal diagnostics, the alarm LED flashes once a second to indicate a trouble condition.
Conventional Multi-Purpose Smoke Detectors with Auxiliary Functions
500 Series two-wire conventional photoelectric smoke detectors bring together trusted technology and a full line of features that meet the demands of every type of application. The 500 offers sounders in two-wire applications, specifically to meet residential code requirements.
These detectors work on a light-scattering principle. A pulsed infrared light-emitting diode serves as the light source, and a highspeed photo diode as the sensing element. This design has superior protection against nuisance alarms caused by dust, insects, RF interference, and ambient light.
Fixed Temperature Heat Detectors
PL Series heat detectors offer fixed temperature detection. If the temperature of the center disk rises to the sensor’s rated temperature, the fixed temperature element activates. This closes contacts in the sensor and transmits an alarm condition to the fire alarm control panel. The fixed temperature element is non-restorable and, when activated, the detector must be replaced. The need for replacement is indicated when the center disk has fallen free from the detector.
Rate-of-rise/Fixed Temperature Heat Detectors
CR/CF Series heat detectors offer fixed temperature or combination rate-of-rise and fixed temperature detection.
RATE-OF-RISE: A temperature increase at the sensor of 15°F (9°C) or more per minute activates the rate-of-rise feature. This closes the contacts in the sensor to transmit the alarm condition to the fire alarm control panel. When the rate-of-rise element alone has been activated, the sensor is self-restoring.
FIXED TEMPERATURE: If the temperature of the center disk rises to the sensor’s rated temperature, the fixed temperature element activates. This closes contacts in the sensor and transmits an alarm condition to the fire alarm control panel. The fixed temperature element is non-restorable and, when activated, the detector must be replaced. The need for replacement is indicated when the center disk has fallen free from the detector.

Reflective Beam Smoke Detector
The EC-50R/-100R comprises a transmitter and receiver in a single enclosure and is usually installed between 19 inches and 24 inches below the ceiling. The transmitter emits an invisible infrared light beam that is reflected via a prism mounted directly opposite and with a clear line of sight. The reflected infrared light is detected by the receiver and analyzed. Smoke in the beam path will reduce the received infrared light proportionally to the density of the smoke. The detector analyzes this attenuation or obscuration of light and acts accordingly. Detectors are typically mounted within ±30 feet (9.14 m) of a potential fire source. Consult your Authority Having Jurisdiction for spacing requirements specific to your locality.
Reflective Beam Smoke Detector
The EC5000R comprises a transmitter and receiver in a single enclosure. The transmitter emits an invisible infrared light beam that is reflected via a reflector mounted directly opposite and within a clear line of sight. The reflected infrared light is detected by the receiver and analyzed. Smoke in the beam path will reduce the received infrared light proportionally to the density of the smoke. The detector analyzes this attenuation and initiates an alarm condition when a predetermined level of obscuration is reached.
End-to-End Beam Smoke Detector
The EC3000 is an end-to-end infrared optical beam smoke detector that comprises an infrared transmitter, receiver, and controller. The transmitter and receiver are installed near the ceiling of the protected area up to 393 feet (120 m) apart, while the controller is mounted at ground level where it remains accessible for maintenance and setup functions. Each controller will handle up to two transmitter/receiver pairs, each with separate fire and fault relays.
